Motorola Droid 3 launched in the US

Motorola Droid 3 was launched in the US a couple of days ago and a lot is expected from it since Droid 2 sold well all over. The US price is $459.99 which is about Rs. 20,196 but the Indian government might put extra taxes on it so I can’t tell you anything about the price.

Droid 3 is quite similar to the previous two Droids in terms of design. It has a five row, slide out full QWERTY keyboard but the screen is a bit bigger. It is now a four inch display having a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels. The handset runs on Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread OS and comes with a dual core processor, eight megapixels camera (which can capture 1080p HD videos), and 16 GB internal memory.
Motorola Droid 3 also comes with a camera on the front for making video calls but the sensor resolution is now known. There is Skype mobile pre-loaded on the phone. You will find all possible wireless options here like 3G, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and mobile hot-spot capabilities which lets you connect up to five devices.

There is no 4G on this phone but it is meaningless here in India which has just moved on 3G. I will give you a full review as soon as the manufacturer sends it in my offices for review.
