New Delhi, Jun 10: Soon Indians can taste the BlackBerry maker Research in Motion's (RIM) PlayBook tablet as the Toronto based company plans to launch it in India in the month of Jun itself..

According to a report in Business Today, RIM plans to bring the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to Indian soil on Jun 22 with an attractive price tag of Rs 32,000. The new BlackBerry tablet will be the new kid in Indian tablet market, which recently received the iconic Apple iPad 2 and Motorola Xoom.

BlackBerry PlayBook tablet has a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display with 1024x600 WSVGA resolution. It runs on BlackBerry Tablet operating system powered with 1 GHz dual-core processor. BlackBerry PlayBook offers dual camera, a 3 megapixel front facing for video calling and a 5 megapixel at rear.

The special feature on PlayBook tablet is its ability to run Android Apps. RIM launched two optional 'app players' that provide an application run-time environment for BlackBerry Java apps and Android v2.3 apps. These new app players will allow users to download BlackBerry Java apps and Android apps from BlackBerry App World and run them on their BlackBerry PlayBook.
